  • I was wondering if anyone knows what is going on, i run storm mesa 1 on my own, this is my team:

    Duke lvl  142 7/10 skill 3/8 life drain lvl 78 inscribe with lvl 2 tenacity

    Druid lvl 146 5/10 skill 3/10 Condem lvl 80 inscribe with lvl 1 war god

    Cupid lvl 118 4/10 skill 1/8 Scatter lvl 58 inscribe with lvl 1 scatter (just noticed they are the same- Ill change after this lol)

    Shadow Mage lvl 130 5/10 skill 2/8 life drain lvl 80 inscribe with lvl 1 war god

    Ninja lvl 141 4/10 skill 5/5 flame guard lvl 60 inscribe with lvl 2 deadly strike

    So, my question, sometimes i can beat storm mesa 1 in about a minute, other time i lose (without anyone dying). I cant figure out what causes my team to beat it in under a minute one time, then not beat it the next with no change in my party.

    I've tried rearranging my party because i was wonding if it was the ninjas flame guard that was causing the extra damage, but ninja can take the hits in both situations and still i sometime wont put out enough damage to be him.

    • Someone must be dying. Usually, it is the PD. If the PD dies the other heroes can not do enough damage on their own to kill the boss, the fight times out (the 3 minutes expire) and you lose that way.

      Either that or you inadvertently touch the End button and end the fight. This has happened to me a couple of times.

    • First of all war god crest on Druid does not affect his healing power! So in case you have something esle for him, use this.

      Second of all you could put a revive on PD and all of your heroes, so in case one of them dies, the next one will get targeted while the revived one can get healed by Druid and help hitting the boss.

      Third of all, and this might be the answer to your problem, check who is attacked by the boss. In case PD is getting the hits, it will give him additional energy (own auto hits + cupid buff + being hitten by the boss). This additional energy might be enough to get 3 of his procs stacking on him instead of 2. Because of this your whole team is dealing more damage which will lead into a victory. I figured this out in daily boss fight. When my Pd (lvl159, skill 7/10, inscription 88, berserk 6/8, crest revive 2/5) is the tank he gets the energy of being hitten and this will give him enough stacks to easily beat boss 2 solo. To upgrade my guild i am lacking the shards :P. Anyway... without PD getting attacked the fight takes waaaay morer time.

      PS: Try to get to mesa 3 as the rewards are much better :)

      No, If i lose my PD, ill just end it cuz i know i wont win. This happens while everyone survives.

      I assumed the war god would increase druids healing, but it doesnt hurt having him hit harder. I previously had revive on my PD, took it off since i got him life drain, He doesnt die too often anymore. I think you might be right, i noticed the last time it was pd being hit when i beat it in under a minute. But i didnt consider that because he has a cooldown, so how does he proc more? It looks as if he is designed to not stack on himself.. skill lasts 8secs and cool down is 8 secs..

    • I need to join a new guild, i am my only member lol, basically made it so i dont have to pay 10gems everytime i need a challenge a boss completion. but i think it is time i join one that can handle higher lvl mesa's.

    • Seminexus, you are right. I just tested what you said in the guild boss challenge. typically i start with druid, let the boss start, then drop in the rest, takes me 1.5-2mins. This time i started with PD, then dropped in the rest, took 50 secs (no cupid, hes not on my main party)

    • Louieb4l, I think you are misusing the terminology here :) Did you mean storm mesa where there are the Mesa-1, -2, -3 and -4 and you can do them alone or with up to 3 partners or the daily boss challenges which can, too, be levels 1 to 4? The daily boss does have more HP although your 7/10 PD should be able to achieve stacking. Pumpkin Duke doesn't have cooldown, so no worries there. Although I am not sure how do you achieve stun lock without a champ or a hero with Heavy Blow talent...

      For Storm Mesas, well, the heroes move so it is a bit hard to arrange your heroes in such a way so the boss attacks your PD.

    • Correct Mete00001, Mesa Boss 1 can be done fast when he is attacking PD. Whithout so it might take some minutes. But I think that is the explanation for why he sometimes wins (without loosing a hero) and sometimes loose (without loosing a hero)

      I was talking storm mesa-1.. i used boss challege to test. Im not sure what stun lock is.. My druid with 40% attack speed, while cupid adds to proc keeps my team alive fine, so i can get away with not stunning the mesa 1 boss. The rest of my team moves slow, it's always duke and ninja that meet the mesa boss first, so maybe i should take ninja out and see if duke will always get to him first.

    • i must have been confusing PD and cupid on the cooldown.. for months now, because i really thought pd had a cooldown.
